Balance is an important skill – it helps prevent injury and helps us engage in sport. By training our balance, we also form a stronger mind-body connection that helps us feel more grounded and keep an even keel, despite the inevitable wobbles that arise in life.
In this two-hour workshop, we will challenge our balance from head to toe. Starting from the base, we will focus on standing postures that improve sensory awareness. Next, we will learn how to optimize our hands for efficient weight-bearing. This knowledge is not only helpful for arm balance practices, but for any engagements that require upper body awareness.
