FALL 2025 RETREAT: Yoga, Meditation, Breathwork, Sauna, Nature, Community
Why a Retreat?
Retreats are truly a treat. They offer you the opportunity to step away from the hectic and sometimes frantic pace of everyday life and turn inward, listening intimately to your body, heart and mind, allowing space to open to the presence and knowing of your own inner wisdom. Retreats offer the opportunity of deep connection; with yourself, with others, and with something greater through the practices of yoga, meditation and the resonance of community.
This retreat will offer a wide range of movement, meditation and inquiry practices which you can curate to your own needs, A few sessions each day are intended for the whole group, while many others are invitations for you to explore and go deeper into your practice, or pause, rest and integrate on your own. The longer meditation blocks will alternate 30-minute periods of sitting and walking. The nature-based practices are an opportunity to mindfully connect with the natural world through structured inquiry and sensory techniques. This is a unique opportunity to savor a variety of contemplative practices in a beautiful and nurturing space.

ACCOMMODATIONS
"Aldermarsh is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit situated on the edge of a beautiful marshland in the Maxwelton Valley at the south end of Whidbey Island. The wooded 5 acre facility is a human-created space integrated within its natural setting where community, collaboration and sustainability thrive.
Our mission is to create and hold sacred space for residential retreats and programs that are focused on raising individual and collective consciousness, exploring creative and equitable ways of being in community, and learning to live in balance with the natural world. We provide a refuge for community: a place where one can be still and listen to the wisdom of the Earth and reconnect with soul’s calling.
We host a variety of residential retreats and workshops every year including writing, mediation, yoga, Authentic Movement, 5Rhythms, native and edible plant wisdom, and more. We host programs and retreats for individuals, groups, and organizations who share our commitment to listen deeply, respectfully witness self and other, and steward Earth and human communities in sustainable and soulful ways."

MEALS FROM CONSCIOUS CATERING
In 2018 Jacob and Madi met working at one of the most renowned fine-dining vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Seattle, where they both fell in love with the art of vegan/ vegetarian cooking and the wonderful produce the Pacific Northwest has to offer. There, they gained a combined 12 years experience in the culinary world of mindful eating and learned the intricacies of many allergy based diets; with Jacob acting as the Sous Chef and Madi as the front of house lead and prep cook. Since then, their passion for cooking and sharing the values of conscious cooking has only grown.
You will enjoy delicious vegetarian meals during your stay. If you have any dietary restrictions, we will be asking you for those details a few weeks before the retreat. Please note that the retreat center cannot accommodate severe nut allergies. The kitchen cannot be made a 100% nut-free environment.
