Hi everyone, my name is Maria! I began my yoga journey a few years ago here in Seattle. As I practiced more and more, I began to understand what it meant to take time to be with myself on the mat.Yoga for me is a space to ground myself, look inwards, and work through challenging moments physically, mentally, and spiritually.
My goal in sharing the practice with students is a safe, fulfilling flow that allows you space to spend time with yourself, whether that is focusing primarily on playful movement, strength-building movement, or a combination of both.
I am passionate about showing up for people in all walks of life, both on and off my mat. In my free time, I love to travel, be outside with my friends, cuddle with my cat, host get-togethers, and of course, move my body both as a teacher and a practitioner.
I teach vinyasa and hope to soon pursue further training in restorative and yin yoga. I come to the yoga world with a decade of teaching Zumba and other kinds of dance fitness; my intention behind all forms of movement I teach is bringing a smile to your face and leaving you with something to take away, whether that is a bit of philosophy or a new shape you haven't tried yet. I look forward to practicing with you!
