Embodied Meditation Teacher Training Program (50 Hours)
with Rajiv Kapoor & Scott Francis
The Embodied Meditation Teacher Training Program is a comprehensive teacher training program designed for individuals to cultivate and deepen their own meditation practice and share that with others. This program is ideal for aspiring meditation practitioners, experienced meditators, therapists, coaches, yoga teachers, leaders, and wellness practitioners seeking to deepen their understanding of embodied awareness. Through experiential learning and guidance, participants will develop personal practice skills, learn, and acquire the tools to facilitate transformative meditation sessions that enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being—both for themselves and those they serve.
Five Core Tenets of the Meditation Teacher Training Program
1. Practice
One’s own meditation practice is the foundation of this training. By deepening one’s own inner awareness and presence, trainees develop the authenticity and clarity needed to guide others.
2. Movement
Embodied practices support the integration of stillness and motion into everyday life. Movement complements meditation by cultivating grounding, energy flow, and somatic intelligence.
3. Community
Growth happens in relationships. This program fosters a supportive, inclusive community where shared experience, vulnerability, and belonging enhance the learning journey.
4. Curriculum
A thoughtfully designed curriculum provides a balanced structure of spiritual wisdom, technique, and teaching skills. It blends ancient wisdom with contemporary approaches to meet the needs of current times.
5. Dialogue
Open, honest conversation is central to this training. Dialogue encourages reflection, inquiry, and collective wisdom, empowering trainees to find their own voice as teachers.

Bio’s
Rajiv Kapoor has been practicing meditation for over two decades, primarily in the Insight Meditation tradition. His path has been shaped by years of retreat practice and study, including his teacher training with Jack Kornfield. In addition to his exploration of meditation, Rajiv has studied Core Energetics, a form of body-centered psychotherapy, which brings a unique somatic dimension to his teaching.
As a dedicated meditation teacher, Rajiv offers an approach grounded in mindfulness, compassion, and embodied awareness. His work supports students in exploring the connection between mind, body, and our feeling life — creating space for insight, integration, and authentic presence.
Known for his warmth, clarity, straightforwardness, and grounded presence, Rajiv guides individuals and communities in cultivating a meditation practice rooted in truth and attuned to the realities of daily life. He currently teaches at Mind Body Hum.
Rajiv has spent over two decades in corporate leadership and has also taught meditation in organizations like Mastercard and F5 Networks. He's passionate about helping people live and lead from their full, authentic selves—whether at work or in more contemplative settings.
Scott Francis began his meditation journey in 1993 with a 20-day Vipassana retreat with Jack Kornfield, igniting his lifelong dedication to both yoga and meditation. With over 30 years of meditation practice and more than 40 silent retreats, he has also led numerous yoga retreats and trainings.
His teaching integrates the complementary nature of yoga’s physicality and meditation’s psychological depth. Rooted in his personal journey, Scott’s approach fosters growth in love, presence, and joy.
Primarily influenced by Insight Meditation, he has studied with Jack Kornfield, James Baraz, and Guy Armstrong, and practiced at Spirit Rock, IMS, and The Forest Refuge. Recently, Scott has incorporated sound healing through gongs and crystal bowls, further enhancing the meditative experience and guiding practitioners to deeper presence.
For over thirty years, Scott has walked two parallel paths—one as an architect, the other as a meditation teacher. What makes his work unique is how these paths continually inform each other. His architecture carries the quiet clarity of meditative awareness, and his meditation teaching is grounded, structured, and spacious—much like the spaces he designs. Whether he's shaping buildings or guiding people inward, the same presence flows through both.
