About Nicole:
Nicole Merat is a teacher, actress, and sound bath practitioner in addition to her role as Studio Director at MindBodyHum in Seattle, WA. Her studio offerings include vinyasa, restorative, yin, meditation, yoga nidra, sound baths, and good conversation. Some of her teachers include Leah Adams, Jodi Boone, Tina Templeman, Michel Spruance, Scott Francis, and The Sound Healing Academy.
Nicole began working with sound in an intentional way in 2020 and has since developed an appreciation for vibration as a holistic method of therapeutic rest and recovery. By learning to listen, let go, and let flow, she has found greater peace in this ever stimulating world and within her own heart. As a Creative, Nicole believes that sound is yet another form of expression, a language and an art. With curiosity, intuition, and a willingness to play, sound illuminates the artist within.
Nicole had the honor of birthing her first drum in 2025 with Barbara Ocskai, a ceremonial experience that has deepened her connection to sound as medicine and strengthened her confidence in drumming for wellbeing. As she continues to experiment on her own, she is excited to share her love and the art of rhythm with others.
After 18 years in Seattle, Nicole is so pleased to call the PNW home. When she’s not teaching, she loves spending time in nature, reading, creating, and eating good food (she’s a Taurus, after all).
In addition to mentoring under Scott Francis (owner of MindBodyHum), and offering public and private sound baths weekly, Nicole also completed her Level 1 Foundations of Integral Sound Healing - Multi-Instrument Training with the Sound Healing Academy in 2021.
Nicole is honored to offer a bi-annual Sound Bath Training in collaboration with MindBodyHum.
